In Essaouira province there are vast forests of Thuja and Argan.

The dune forest east of Essaouira town is protected with a partly fenced wall.

Bouhaira lagoons
There are many small lakes surrounded by trees and bushes growing in the dunes of sand.
Many different species of birds inhabit the forest as cows, camels, straydogs.
